Note: This app is only available for iPhone and requires a device with a flashlight. It is not compatible with iPad, iPod touch, or any other iOS device without a flashlight.

Description:

This app allows you to control the flashing speed of your iPhone flashlight, ranging from 1Hz to 130Hz. Essentially, it turns your iPhone into a strobe light.

What can you use this application for?

With this app, you can use your iPhone as a tachometer to measure the speed of rotating objects.

How to use it:

Let's say you have a fan and you need to measure its speed (RPM). First, turn on the fan in a dark environment. Then, launch the app on your iPhone (with flashlight capability). Use the main slider in the app to adjust the speed until the rotating object appears to be nearly motionless. Next, use the three buttons in the app for fine-tuning to achieve the exact speed. It's important not to touch the moving/rotating object during the test, even though it may appear stationary.
